Simply use a 4 to 1 ratio
4 parts liquid to 1 part polenta and 1 teaspoon salt,
Liquid can be 4 parts water, or 3 parts water and 1 part milk or 2 parts water 1 part milk and 1 part cream, depending on how you like the texture of your polenta

I'm 62 and have never eaten polenta, grew up eating grits. Well I quit eating them years ago. It was suggested to me to try polenta, I bought bobs red mill a few months ago. Putting it off thinking it would take to long to cook. I'm so glad I used this recipe, it was perfect! The package directions used 3 cups of water, no way would that have worked, I actually use a bit more than the 4.5 cups. But they're great, I have the leftovers in a dish, I want fries tomorrow. Thank you!
