Hi Marianne, cauliflower rice from the store is blanched and cooled, but you don’t need to. You can freeze it and then cook it after you thaw it.

Hi Vera, I like to use frozen cauliflower in my smoothie – packaged frozen cauliflower is blanched before they froze it, so very lightly cooked. I wouldn’t see the need to make cauliflower rice first (unless you’re just trying to use it up). Florets will blend fine along with the rest of the smoothie ingredients. Yes I have frozen it and put in stir fry dish just before it’s done. In frying pan once you have cooked everything else. Works great. First time i used it my husband thought it was rice.
