Yes!  That&#039;s what keeps the rice from drying out if you don&#039;t put a lid on it then it&#039;ll dry out.
If I&#039;m making Mexican rice which my friend in Durango said she doesn&#039;t know why people add tomatoes but real rice does not. She adds strips of jalapeno corn and peas to it to give more flavor. She&#039;ll also put in slices of garlic and some onion and then pull those out right before she serves it to give a lot of flavor to it]]></description>
