I wish I read the reviews before making these. They were salty and tasted off. I have made bao buns before but forgot to bookmark that recipe so I decided to give this one a try. I’m disappointed with the way they tasted 🙁

Usually love your recipes but this one for the bao buns is a bust. Too much salt makes proofing time long and the buns too salty. Had to find another recipe which sucked after investing so much proofing time.

Bao buns didn’t rise & takes a prolonged time to make- more than other bao recipes

Very salty, and mine did end up turning yellow after steaming, not sure why! The color doesn’t matter so much, but these taste more like a pretzel. Definitely adjust the salt if you make these.
