Best from scratch I have come across! I have made this several times and my family loves it! I have substituted with lactose free whole milk and no change in texture or flavor.

This is the best waffle recipe—no frills, no fluff—just warm, toasty, comforting homemade waffles. My kitchen and dining room smelled so good after making these. Even after the dishes were done, I walked back into the dining room and just lingered for a minute because the smell was so divine. Thank you for the wonderful recipe.

In reply to Phoebe Moore (L&L Recipe Developer). You might want to add that weight to the recipe itself. I always prefer using the weights over the cups as it's more exact and easier.

Delicious!! The batter did seem thick, but it didn’t matter at all since the lid of the waffle maker mashes it down. I think if it were runnier it would run out. Also, I didn’t want to wait for the eggs and milk to come to room temp and I didn’t notice any issues.
