This vegan peach cobbler is easy to make with 10 ingredients! It stars juicy peaches and a crisp, buttery topping. I love it with vegan ice cream on top!
This vegan peach cobbler recipe is perfect for peach season. Though you could use frozen peaches here, it’s really meant to be a fresh peach celebration. I don’t sweeten them, simmer them, or peel them. Instead, I just drizzle them with a little lemon juice for brightness. Then, I top them with a quick, buttery topping and bake them until they’re tender and juicy. Naturally sweet and brimming with peachy flavor, this one’s an essential late summer treat.
And I haven’t even told you the best part—this vegan peach cobbler is easy to make with 10 ingredients! It comes together in under an hour with one bowl and one baking dish. If you ask me, it’s no-fuss summer cooking at its best.
Ingredients You’ll Need
Here’s what you’ll need to make this vegan peach cobbler recipe:
- Peaches, of course! Fresh peaches are best, but in a pinch, thawed and drained frozen peaches will work here too.
- Fresh lemon juice – Its tangy flavor balances the sweetness of the peaches.
- All-purpose flour – It makes up the base of the cobbler topping. A 1-to-1 gluten-free flour blend would also work well.
- Cane sugar – It lightly sweetens the cobbler topping.
- Coconut oil – It adds richness and moisture to the topping, helping it come together into a flavorful dough.
- Cinnamon and vanilla – They add warm depth of flavor to the dough.
- Baking soda – It helps the topping puff up slightly as it bakes.
- And sea salt – To make all the flavors pop!
Optional, but highly recommended: Vegan vanilla ice cream for serving!

How to Make Vegan Peach Cobbler
Like most fruit crisps and crumbles, this cobbler recipe comes together with minimal effort. Here’s all you need to do:
- Slice your peaches into eighths and layer them into the bottom of a greased 9×13 baking dish.
- Drizzle them with lemon juice!
Should I peel the peaches?
I don’t peel the peaches for this vegan peach cobbler. It makes this recipe super easy to prepare, and I actually like the texture of the skins.
But if you prefer to peel the peaches, you can! Gently peel them with a vegetable peeler, or drop the whole peaches into a pot of boiling water for 30 seconds or so to loosen the skins. Remove the peaches with a spider, then transfer them to an ice bath. The skins should slip off easily!
- Stir together the topping ingredients until they combine to form a crumbly dough.
- Sprinkle the dough over the peaches, and bake in a 400°F oven until the topping is lightly golden brown and the peaches are juicy, about 30 minutes.
- Scoop into bowls with vegan vanilla ice cream, and dig in while the cobbler is still warm. Enjoy!
Vegan Peach Cobbler Recipe Tips
As the ultimate peach fan, I’ve been making peach desserts for years. Here are my best tips for making one that’s pitch-perfect every time:
- Get your peaches ahead of time. Whenever I go to the store looking for the perfect peach, the ones I find are always rock-hard or too mushy. If you want to make a delicious vegan peach cobbler, buy your fruit a few days in advance and let it ripen on your counter. When the peaches are soft, you’re ready to bake! (After they ripen, you can also store them in the fridge for up to a few days.)
- Err on the side of more fruit, not less. You want the peaches to cover the bottom of your pan completely, so overlap the slices as needed. As you can see in the photos above, I even have a double layer of fruit in some places!
- Leave some clumps. Nothing beats a bite of vegan peach cobbler with a big lump of golden brown, buttery dough, so don’t break up the cobbler topping too much as you sprinkle it over the fruit!
- Serve with vegan ice cream. I love all fruit desserts with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, but I especially recommend it here. This cobbler is still good on its own, but the ice cream gives it a delectable “peaches & cream” finish. Not an ice cream person? Coconut whipped cream would be great here too!
How to Store Vegan Peach Cobbler
This vegan peach cobbler recipe is best when it’s warm from the oven, but if you have leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
I like them cold from the fridge, but if you’d like to reheat them, you can pop them in the microwave or warm them in a 350°F oven.
