Then cooked it on the stove to intensify the flavors with chicken base

Hi Hector, what type of oil are you using? I find that different brands and types can sometimes taste bitter alongside tomatillos and lime.

I have twice followed your recipe, and both times the salsa turned out to be bitter.

Have you had the same experience?

I am going back to the recipe my mom taught us, which uses boiling the tomatillos instead.

Hi Dora, I’ve never worked with canned tomatillos, so I’m not totally sure, but I think they would work!
