This seemed like an easy, straight-forward recipe for Tiramisu but had an issue with the heavy whipping cream separating and curling. Had to put other ingredients aside until the following day in order to buy more heavy whipping cream. I should have followed my instinct/experience and not what the recipe stated. Not sure what kind of mixer Jeanine is using but DO NOT whip for 5-8 minutes! My KitchenAid hand mixer on medium speed only needs 2-3 minutes for soft to medium stiff peaks to form. Also, use the cream COLD, straight from the refrigerator. The recipe should state this for inexperienced bakers. The milk fat is firmer cold and allows for air pockets to form.
We'll see how the finished dessert taste tomorrow after it chills overnight. Hope for all the frustration it is delicious!
