Meyer Lemon Madeleines

These Meyer lemon madeleines are light, sweet, and perfect for sharing on Valentine's Day. Dust them with powdered sugar for an extra special touch.

If I had to pick a favorite holiday, it would have to be Valentine’s Day. I’ve always loved the day because really, it’s so… simple. The only real rule is that you need to show people you love them. Check back Friday for a date night story about Jack and me, but I’m dedicating this post to the person that made this day my favorite when I was a kid – my mom. Growing up, she always made Valentine’s Day so special for me and my sister. For at least a week leading up to February 14th, we would make crafts with…

Valentine’s Molten Chocolate Cakes

Valentine's Day = time for molten chocolate cake! With 6 ingredients & 20 minutes, you'll have the perfect treat to share with someone you love.

Happy almost-Valentine’s Day! Jack here reporting on my first baking love – molten chocolate cake. See, way before this blog, I pretty much had one staple “date night” dish. That dish was seared scallops and it was always a hit. Well, one Valentine’s Day, I decided to kick it up a notch and shoot for the moon… by trying out molten chocolate cakes. Yes, saffron is expensive but a little goes a long way. Plus, it’s Valentine’s Day so let’s live a little. Pop it in the oven and bake…

Check out our pasta-date story (and recipe!) on CamilleStyles.com. (And special thanks to Kate LeSueur for being the 3rd wheel on our little date while capturing these gorgeous photos!)

Valentine’s link love

Happy Valentines Day! I’m so happy to be home after a chilly week in Chicago – the sun is shining here and it’s WARM! I’ll take a beautiful day over a dozen roses any day. Jack might get off easy in the gift department, but tonight is the night he cooks(!) and I can’t wait to see what he’ll make. I had some treats planned that didn’t get finished on time – so instead, I thought I’d roundup some sweet things I’ve seen around the internet. All of these recipes and more are on my Valentines Pinboard (click to see it).…

Hello, we're Jeanine and Jack.

We love to eat, travel, cook, and eat some more! We create & photograph vegetarian recipes from our home in Chicago, while our shiba pups eat the kale stems that fall on the kitchen floor.
