This soup is fantastic!!! I was skeptical, but after it sat for a bit & the flavors melded, I was blown away. I sprinkled a little cinnamon on top of my serving and it complemented the soup so well. Thank you for this amazing recipe!!!!

In reply to Dana. Hi Dana, yep! You could totally use them here. I would sauté the apple on its own, then add the sweet potato along with the broth. Otherwise, I'd follow the recipe as written.

i already boiled a few small sweet potatoes whole and skinned them, can i use them in this recipe? what changes would be needed? thank you

This soup is amazing! Simple ingredients, comes together quickly, yet has a delicious depth of flavor. My mom loved it too, saying it’s a perfect “mug soup”. Can’t argue with that! Wish I had doubled it…next time I will! Spoiler alert: grating rather than mincing the garlic and ginger is a total game-changer!
