A friend of my mother’s gave us her amazing recipe and I’ve used it all my life, as did my mom. Instead of butter and/or oil, we use bacon grease – it adds such a wonderful smokey flavor.
I am going to try your recipe though because I love it so and I grow lots of tomatoes, okra and corn every year.
