In reply to <a href="https://www.loveandlemons.com/stuffing-recipe/comment-page-10/#comment-772145">Rachel Hjelmstad</a>.

Hi Rachel, I'm so glad you love the recipe! I think it would work well to prepare the stuffing up to the point of baking, then cover and freeze it. Before baking, I'd let it thaw overnight in the fridge. If it feels dry at all, you could moisten it with a bit more broth, then bake. I hope this helps!

I absolutely love this stuffing. It’s a staple on our Thanksgiving table, now, and I look forward to it every year. I have a question about making it in advance. I’d like to make this for Christmas this year, but our herb plants have all died back by then. Is there a way for me to make it with fresh herbs in October or November and freeze it for baking at Christmas?

This was delicious and seemed to improve the next day. I was wondering about the make ahead instruction- stop after adding eggs, cover snd refrigerate. Is there any reason it shouldn’t be completely cooked the day before and reheated?

I loved the stuffing recipe. It was my first time trying an out of bird stuffing and it did not disappoint! There are only 3 of us so I halved the recipe with no problem. Kept the full egg in it. Thanks for this. !
