Made these today. They're ok. Not enough fruit at all, need to double the amount to get the good summer flavor. Mine also didn't stay together like a "bar", more like a crumble. I'd use this as a guide but make some tweaks next time.

Hi,
Could I use GF cup for cup instead of the almond flour? Or maybe just sub almond flour for more oats?

Ty!

Delicious and not overly sweet, but sadly mine did not hold together as well as yours pictured above.
I followed the instructions to a T but not sure why they crumbled a bit when sliced. They were left to set both at room temp and in the fridge for several hrs before serving so I'm at a loss for what went wrong.
I used a glass pyrex 8x8 wondering if I didn't divide the 2/3- 1/3 enough? I maybe could have cooked it a tad longer to get the top integrated, but was worried to overcook the bottom layer. Do you use a scale to divide the top and bottom? I'm looking at your pic which looks to have slightly less crumble on top than mine.

I was disappointed in these. I love strawberry rhubarb baked goods but these did not have enough fruit (barely a scraping over the top even though I used a few Tbs of fruit more than the recipe called for) and just didn't pop with flavor at all. I made them for a group dinner of 11 people, and even though it makes a very small amount, less than half was gone at the end of the night.

Oh my goodness! These bars explode with flavor! They were so easy to prepare, the texture was perfect, and the fruit was just the right blend of sweetness.
