Sadly, my mom died a year ago and I won’t be able to cook for her this year. But my wife and I are parents so she is the mom I’ll be cooking for. I’m planning on your broccoli and feta frittata (but with asparagus)!! And a salad of spring greens. And we will toast my mom with a mimosa!
Can’t go wrong with making mom a cherry cheesecake…..mmmmm.
My mother’s homemade Goulash…
I would love for my family to make me Love & Lemon’s blueberry banana pancakes ? for breakfast wit some iced coffee and homemade hazelnut milk. Then, for an afternoon snack either the healthier baked potato skins with coconut bacon or the chipotle cauliflower cheese nachos with all the extra toppings. Finally, for dinner, the corn pappardelle pasta dish from the new cookbook and an arugula salad on the side.
My son makes a fantastic dish called Eggplant Miso Gratin that he bakes for potlucks for his work. I’ve hinted that’s what I want for Mother’s Day.
We love a good brunch in our family – anything brunch related I’d want made for me/make for my mom!
I want someone to make for me a big green salad with sorghum, veggies and hemp hearts, cauliflower hummus, and carrot sticks!
A couple years ago my boys made Nutella French toast for me for Mother’s Day. I wouldn’t mind a repeat of that this year.
Homemade ice cream sundae
My Mom passed away about 3 years ago so I won’t be able to make her anything. But in her honor, I plan to make a delicious veggie lasagna (Cookie and Kate’s recipe!) because I know she would have loved it. Her favorite ice cream was mint chocolate chip so that would be a great end to the meal! I used to share recipes I found online with her and she loved that. My Mom always loved cooking but also kept it simple with recipes like, tuna salad, hamburgers and casseroles of all kinds. Although I don’t eat meat now, I still have great memories of the food she made when I was a kid.
fluffy vegan lemon blueberry pancakes
I’m going to make overnight cinnamon rolls!
Making lemon bars for my mom for desert! Still plotting dinner plans with my brothers… but we will definitely be cooking. 😀
My mother is in a nursing home now and we are separated by miles. Many miles. I have my love of cooking from her – along with what skills I have. One of my favorite recipes is her pot roast, complete with onions, potatoes and carrots. She always added a little wine. A nice Dutch oven would be wonderful.
My mom loves all things brunch so Frittata, French toast and bottomless mimosas!
I’m making my mom pancakes with real VT maple syrup.
I would love someone to make me a perfectly slow cooked beef brisket or a medium rare charcoal grilled ribeye steak! I haven’t had a good steak cooked outside on the grill in a long time.
My husband makes a big batch of enchiladas every mother’s day, with leftovers for work week lunches so I get a little cooking break that weekend ?
I’m making Pot roast with potatoes, carrots & pearl onions. Brussel sprouts, Spaghetti squash, Yeast rolls, Georgia Cornbread cake & homemade Lemonade. I’d love to have BBQ Beef Brisket, Mashed Potatoes, Cabbage with green Bell peppers, Yeast rolls, Homemade Chocolate cake & Lemonade.
We usually make eggs benedict, but this year we’re taking a little road trip instead. That means food out on the town!
