i will celebrate mother’s day with my almost 95 year old wonderful mom. i’m going to bake her own mother’s recipe for biscotti. my brother and i are grateful to share the day with her.

My mom’s Brazilian, so I’ll be making a Brazilian classic called Brigadeiro (sweetened condensed milk cooked into a delicious chocolate fudge)

I’m making my mom an afternoon tea with scones, clotted cream, lavender cupcakes, chillled cucumber soup, strawberry rhubarb bread, dill and smoked salmon cucumber rolls, and I’m trying to dream up a few other twists on egg salad or a veggie sandwich.
oh, and as many flowers as I can find, the lilacs are good
