Bean and Tri tip Fajitas (for both the plant based eaters and the meat eaters): homemade tortillas, home cooked pinto beans and a delicious salad with chipotle ranch dressing. Homemade guacamole and salsa with baked tortilla chips.
I’m definitely not cooking on Mother’s Day (it also happens to be on my birthday this year!), but I wouldn’t mind if someone made me some Zucchini Carbonara 🙂
If I were with my mom, I’d make her Jamaican fried dumplings. I want my kids to make me CAKE! Hahaha
I don’t expert anything fancy, our tradition is that breakfast is made for ME once. My mum lives far away, what makes complicated cooking wise.
Whoever hosts, we always have a couple quiches, rhubarb scones and elderflower lemonade!
French toast!
My mother lives overseas, so I won’t be able to see her this year, but I will make my two daughters, who are mothers themselves, croissant French toast.
I’ll make a great quiche for Mother’s Day brunch!
Chicken piccata & green beans almondine
I would love someone to make me a meal…fresh and delicious. Since I am the family cook that cooks EVERY meal, it would be nice for someone else in the family to cook for a day.
Chicken and waffles from local restaurant pick up and eat on the deck with a bourbon beer!
Lemon Meringue Pie is the requested dessert for Mothers Day Brunch.
For Mother’s Day I’m trying out the sunshine sweet potato curry. But, secretly I’m hoping my husband and child take me out!
Sourdough whole wheat cinnamon sweet rolls are a healthier version that I will likely make. The fermented dough helps to digest the gluten and actually eats up the sugar, so I splurge for my myself as mom and for my daughter, a single mother.
Spring asparagus and English pea tart with fresh herbs
I’m going to be making some raw raspberry & chocolate truffles. Hopefully I don’t eat them all in the process?
I”m making grilled chicken, quinoa salad, potato salad and hopefully some kind of dessert. What I dream of someone making me is a lemon curd type dessert!
I want someone to make me a buttermilk pie for mother’s day!!
I am hoping to be on the patio grilling for Mother’s Day , hopefully salmon to go with a fresh green salad!
Waffles with fresh fruit. Happy early Mother’s Day!
