I’ll be making my mom’s favorite: penne alla vodka with turkey sausage!
an aperol spritz, poached eggs, sliced tomato and prosciutto 🙂
I would love to have breakfast in bed. I received a bed tray as a gift for my wedding 28 years ago and it has never been used for its intended purpose. French toast with banana and syrup and a hot cup of good coffee- ahhhh. That would be heaven!
Chicken Piccatta, my favorite.
Your poblano “crema” enchiladas!
I’m making fruit salad and cupcakes as my part of the mother’s day meal. What would I love for my kids to make for me? Either cheesecake or Derby pie!
My mom’s favorite food in the world is grapefruit so I always make a yummy grapefruit something for Mother’s Day. This year she won’t get to eat it, since I’m living out of the country for several more weeks, but I’ll make an honorary grapefruit treat!
I’m feeling very traditional and would love someone to cook me brunch…a springtime omelet with cheese and greens, crispy hashbrowns, and a bloody mary!
French toast casserole.
My mother now lives in another city so I usually don’t see her on Mother’s Day. But I used to make the first batch of gazpacho of the season for her on Mother’s Day. Sometimes I make it, pack it in ice, and take it to her.
My mother passed away 6 years ago after a brutal fight with ovarian cancer. She was a strong woman who did all she could to fight the disease. If I had the chance today, I would make her some of those many items we used to cook together. She always used cast iron in everything she made. Perhaps that is why they always were a little better than when anyone else made them. Maybe I would make some simple breakfast burritos, crisping the potatoes in the leftover sausage drippings. Perhaps a cheesey broccoli quiche, which she made for special occasions. For desert, almond toffee, which we would spend what seemed like hours in the kitchen until it was that perfect light mahogany. Whatever I would make, it would be great to have those few more moments together.
❤
We’re having my mother and MIL over for a cookout. I know it’s standard ‘Father’s Day’ fare, but moms like steak too!
Neither of our mothers are still with us so I’ll make a dinner in their honor. Homemade pasta with mushrooms and truffle butter.
Making your Vegan lemon muffin recipe the day before Mother’s Day so I can have them as breakfast in bed with a hot cup of coffee!!! Can’t think of a better way to start the day.
Warm blueberry muffins and coffee, in bed:)
I want my kids to make me a fresh salad with chicken cranberry apple and nuts with a delicious balsamic vinaigrette!!
Will make dal saag, butter chicken and homemade naan for my daughter and her little family. So grateful to be their mom and grandmother.
I’ll be making vegan carrot waffles from the Original Love and Lemons cookbook for Mother’s Day.
I would love for someone to make me chocolate chip pancakes!
I hope that Daddy wakes us up with his blueberry pancakes!
