My Mom passed away about 3 years ago so I won’t be able to make her anything. Her favorite ice cream was mint chocolate chip so that would be a great end to the meal! I used to share recipes I found online with her and she loved that. My Mom always loved cooking but also kept it simple with recipes like, tuna salad, hamburgers and casseroles of all kinds. Although I don’t eat meat now, I still have great memories of the food she made when I was a kid.

A mom-me bonding tradition (passed from my grandma——> mom and now with my daughter) that one Sunday every month. We eat pancakes packed with bananas! It is now our Mother’s Day tradition that is becoming our norms!!! Happy Mother’s Day to all the new and awesome moms out there!

For sweet treats, I am baking Butter Tarts, Lemon Loaf (poke style with lemon syrup), Brownies, Blueberry Scones and Queen Elizabeth Cake (a date and coconut cake from the 1950’s). I can’t wait! We’re having my mother and MIL over for a cookout. I know it’s standard ‘Father’s Day’ fare, but moms like steak too!
My mother passed away 6 years ago after a brutal fight with ovarian cancer. She was a strong woman who did all she could to fight the disease. If I had the chance today, I would make her some of those many items we used to cook together. She always used cast iron in everything she made. Perhaps that is why they always were a little better than when anyone else made them. Maybe I would make some simple breakfast burritos, crisping the potatoes in the leftover sausage drippings. Perhaps a cheesey broccoli quiche, which she made for special occasions. For desert, almond toffee, which we would spend what seemed like hours in the kitchen until it was that perfect light mahogany. Whatever I would make, it would be great to have those few more moments together.
❤
My mother now lives in another city so I usually don’t see her on Mother’s Day. But I used to make the first batch of gazpacho of the season for her on Mother’s Day. Sometimes I make it, pack it in ice, and take it to her.

Scones for sure. We are senior citizens who have recently moved ourselves back into town to be closer to our four grandchildren. It has been exhausting. I am finally settling down into a routine, trying to remember where I put all my kitchen items. This giveaway is just what my new kitchen needs…plus it’s Mother’s Day. Thanks for the chance to enter.

I’m making chicken and spring vegetables sheet pan recipe for my lunch then I’m headed to work to serve lots of families taking mom out to dinner!
Steak and scallops!
For mother’s day I would love for my family to cook me dinner as I am the only one who cooks. That said, a breakfast of coffee and toast, preferably not burned. A sliced up orange would be nice, but a whole one would be safer for all involved. Caesar’s salad for lunch and some other time easy to make dinner would be awesome…. spaghetti pomodoro? Basically, meals I don’t have to cook and don’t require a visit to the emergency room! Happy Mother’s Day!

My first mother’s day! New mom to beautiful twin girls. My husband and I LOVE to cook and it’s over of the few things we still make time to do together everyday. I haven’t decided what we will be making on mother’s day yet but I certainly love my Lindy style New York Cheesecake, Baghali Polo with Lamb (a Persian dish featuring an aromatic rice with dill and fava beans, and the lamb is prepared like a stew so the meat just falls right off the bone, and the bone marrow slides right out of the bones) , I’ll probably also prepare a delicious breakfast scramble loaded with fresh veggies. I’m already thinking about all the fabulous meals from “Love &Lemons” I can try with the staub cookware. We are also about 3 weeks away from totally gutting our kitchen and dining room, to make a kitchen that’s more suitable for how much we cook. I hope I can add these beautiful pieces to my new kitchen 😍
Spring vegetable and pesto tortellini salad!
Hoping I’m making nothing and that my husband is making something good! 🙂
I love to make pavlova for Mother’s Day because it looks so elegant, fresh, and springy with the addition of berries and herbs.
Haven’t decided what I’m making. We will be celebrating mothers day, but also my mother in laws birthday. Usually for mothers day my husband cooks, so it’s either BBQ or he makes reservations🤣. Either way, I appreciate not having to cook. However, I would love it if someone made me a tart strawberry rhubarb pie with a flaky buttery crust and streusel topping 🙂
If someone doesn’t make it for me… I will make your amazing fritatta!

I think I will feed my sourdough starter May that’s two years old now and bake up a loaf of whole wheat blue cheese and walnut sourdough. My mom and I both love it! We used to both buy these blue chees and walnut rolls that were so good toasted with butter but the local bakery that made them burned down and I spent alot of time trying to find a recipe until finally I just created one.

A homemade loaf of cinnamon sourdough bread. And a handpicked bouquet of peonies!
My mother is obsessed with two things: artichokes and mushrooms. So we’ve got a triple threat of meals planned for Mother’s Day. To start, we’ll pop both into a quiche (with lots of cheese), then munch on your spinach and artichoke pizza for lunch, and close out the day with a truffled mushroom risotto (also with lots of cheese.)
I would make my mother cheese grits if she were here for Mother’s Day.
Hopefully, my kitchen will be usable on Mother’s Day and I can cook a wonderful, veggie packed meal. We’ve been without a kitchen since January because of a remodel that we needed to have happen after water damage to the flooring last summer. Cross your fingers that everything is functional by Sunday.

Cinnamon rolls for my mom, mother in law or me!
My mother is 96 years old, she has dementia & usually thinks I’m HER mother, or just some nice lady that takes care of her.
As usual, I will be making her a favorite meal.
We are Italian, all the wonderful things I cook were learned from her, my Zia Rita & both of my grandmother’s, who were born in Italy & all of whom passed many years ago.
They were all wonderful cooks & as most older Italian women, didn’t write down recipes & those they did were usually vague or missing ingredients or steps!
Lucky for me I paid close attention to how they did things & subsequently became a pretty good cook in my own right, if I may say so myself, LOL!
That being said, I will be making her homemade gnocchi with my famous gravy. (Famous in my family at least! Lol!) Our entire family & extended family calls it GRAVY, not Sauce! Sauteed Broccoli Raab with Garlic & a fresh, colorful salad. For desert, I’m making a Lemon Olive Oil Pistachio Cake from L&LE.
I’m going to drop some hints to my daughter that I’d love some Strawberry Baked French Toast also from my L& LE cook book! Worst case scenario, I’ll make it for her, and have my grandbabies help with the preparation!
This will be a lovely, lemon-filled Mother’s Day! ❤️
Unfortunately I will be celebrating Mother’s Day at a soccer tournament. I would love for someone to make me a big, doughy cinnamon roll with just a touch of cream cheese icing. But at this point, I’ll take anything I don’t have to make. 🙂
Chilli. My wife loves it.

Mom is 95 now. Doesn’t cook any more. I am learning to turn burn into crust. Looking towards perfection.
I was thinking of making chocolate cookies for Mother’s Day. Simple, I know, but this way, we’re more flexible on when I can get them to her (rather than having to be there at breakfast time or some specific other time, since we’re both busy, and that’s not as practical for us).
I won’t be doing anything for mother’s day this year, as my mother passed away last year. However, my sister-in-law is an amazing mother, and I probably should make her some cookies!

Hello, I’m an older gentleman who always loved to cook and fortunately learned from my Italian Grandmother and Mother. Further my wife was also a great cook, but sadly due to her ailment MS, she can no longer do so. So I’m it, I proudly boast my family loves my style of cooking and I’ve cooked for as many as 40-50 on a holiday to as little as 15-20.
So for this Mother’s Day I was asked to just make the family standard Sunday dinner. It will consist of my delicious Italian gravy loaded with sausage, pork shoulder as well as beef shoulder., as well as my personal seasonings and of course GARLIC!
Pasta will be Stuffed Shells, and my famous meatballs, pork/beef/veal and other seasonings.
Fried of course and left on the counter for all to grab when they arrive what remains goes into the gravy at the last 10 minutes only, as to not get mushy.
Main course is another simple one eyeround roast medium rare, mashed cauliflower and my famous sautéed brussel sprouts…nice and crisp with tender middle.

Greetings and Happy Mother’s Day to you and your readers. My mom who is 86 and lives with us will be receiving breakfast in bed made by my hubby and son. It’s a tradition that we love. For dinner, my husband will be grilling ribeye steaks and I’ll be making twice-baked potatoes and a Caesar salad. My son and I will be making an apple pie, my mom’s favorite. She is simply amazing and at 86, takes care of me and our family. I have cancer and she takes the helm in taking care of us when I’m having not-so-great days. She stills loves to cook, thank goodness!

I haven’t gotten the opportunity to mother children, but I do mother two sweet doggos that had a rough past and require a lot of time, patience and love. For mother’s day, I’d like to honor mothers of all varieties everywhere, as well as the act of mothering, which is borne of love and sacrifice.
