Made this cake and your applesauce cake recipe at the same time. Then, cut a few inches off each to put them into one long cake pan and frosted. What a hit, both were fabulous and the cake middle was disappearing so that people could have some of each. Both get even better when tgey sit in the fridge! Thank you for these fabulous recipes!

In reply to <a href="https://www.loveandlemons.com/pumpkin-cake-recipe/comment-page-1/#comment-736481">Carole</a>.

Hi Carole, we ice right in the pan and just cut slices out of the pan. If you want to be able to remove it from the pan, line it with parchment paper that comes up the edges. Allow the cake to cool fully cool, then use the edges of the parchment to lift it out. Hope that helps!

Do you remove it from the pan to ice it? And if yes, when do you remove it from the pan - when it is completely cool or 10 mins out of the oven? (I put parchment paper in the bottom and up the sides of the pan)
