I wonder if it was the chia seeds. I saw this recipe and it didn't seem right to add them in at night. I would think adding them the next morning would reduce the slime.

Hi Candice, I would keep the jam for 1 to 2 weeks. I'm so glad you've been enjoying the oats!

I have followed your recipe before for the PB&J and loved it. I'm curious, do you have a recommendation of how long you can safely store the chia jam in the fridge? I am going to try the banana bread variation soon.

This recipe is great! I’ve only made it once, but it wasn’t too sweet or too bland. I just made the base recipe (with nonfat plain Greek yogurt). I also used unsweetened plain Califia almond milk. I topped it with fresh blueberries and that’s it. I wasn’t even fancy about it, I just made it in a glass leftover container and scooped out about half for breakfast. I ate the other half of the container the next day. Still just as good. I’ve tried other overnight oats recipes and they are just too sweet. It’s good advice to add the fresh fruit when you eat it and not let it sit in the oats overnight.

I just made it for the second time and will be more fancy with my toppings this time. I might try the apple pie topping.

Yes! You can absolutely double or triple the base recipe to make a larger batch for multiple days.he 11-ounce Le Parfait Super Jar is fantastic because it leaves plenty of room for toppings like granola and fresh fruit. However, you can also use smaller 4oz to 8oz jars to pre-portion them.
