I couldn’t agree more with this article. We found Brouilly to be the loveliest of all with old town Lyon being magical. The people. The wine. The food. 5 days is NOT enough.

This is an ideal trip for me! But we do not speak French. Could we survive without French? (I could do Spanish, but doubt that would be very helpful).

Hi Katrina, it’s really necessary to have a car to get around Beaujolais… there aren’t many taxis and there’s no public transportation. We stayed at the hotels that I linked to in the post – both were in this same area.

Hello! This post is great 🙂 i was wondering how you traveled around the area? What town would you reccomend staying in? I don’t plan on having a car, its it possible to get to this region by train and traveling within the towns via bike or taxi? Thank you for your help!
