Craisins add a tartness which I love. I also use pecans that have been roasted in butter for about 10 min. Finally I substitute whole wheat flour. All my health-conscious friends go to town on these cookies.

Best oatmeal raisin cookies ever! My husband ate two at once with cold milk. And the rest of them disappeared in two days. The taste is really amazing and they are really chewy. Just like my grandma’s! The dough came out very thick and easy to manipulate. I made the exact recipe (minus the walnuts) and only got 15 cookies with my 2 spoon cookie scoop though. But nevertheless I really loved them and I will definitely do them again. Thanks!!

These cookies taste FANTASTIC but they did spread thin and I even put them in the fridge. Not sure what happens they were not puffy like yours? Any suggestions for next time?

Just made these while procrastinating studying for law school finals. I used chocolate chips instead of raisins and they are DE-licious. My wife has had 3 already. Would definitely make these again! They were so easy to make and seem very easy to modify according to what add-ins are in your pantry.

Hi Jane, it sounds like a measurement might have gotten missed, did you change anything about the recipe? These tend to be on the puffy side. Can you let me know what brand of butter you used?
