Join the Love & Lemons Cooking Club Challenge this month! It's easy to enter, and one lucky winner will receive a prize. Find all the details below.
Our Cooking Club is a fun way to celebrate the Love & Lemons community of readers. The concept is super simple—each month, I choose a recipe. You make it, and you leave a comment on the recipe’s blog post. At the end of the month, I randomly select one winner to receive a prize.
I love the sense of community that comes from so many people cooking one recipe each month. We’re kicking off our September challenge today with our green curry recipe, and I hope you’ll join in the fun. Here’s how it works:
Join the Love & Lemons Cooking Club
- Each month, I choose one seasonal recipe. Sign up for our email list so you’ll know as soon as I share each month’s recipe.
- Make that recipe during the month.
- Leave a comment on the challenge recipe’s blog post by the end of the month. This time, the deadline is September 30!
- For a bonus entry, send a picture of what you made to cookingclub@loveandlemons.com.
- For another bonus entry, post your photo on Instagram, tagging @loveandlemons and #loveandlemonscookingclub.
The Prize: A $100 Whole Foods Gift Card!
At the end of the month, I’ll randomly select a winner and share some of your photos. This time, we’re giving away a $100 Whole Foods gift card.
In addition, for every entry we receive, we’ll donate $1 to No Kid Hungry.
September’s Recipe: Thai Green Curry
This month, we’re making my Thai green curry recipe. I chose it for our September challenge because I think it’s a perfect balance of summer and fall, just like the month itself. It stars summer veggies like eggplant and peppers, which are still going strong at the farmers market. At the same time, the coconut sauce makes it cozy and comforting—exactly the sort of thing I crave as the temps cool off.
Best of all, it comes together in 30 minutes, so it’s perfect for busy September weeknights.
This recipe is vegan and gluten-free if you use a vegan and gluten-free curry paste. My go-to brand is Mekhala, in case you need a rec!

Last Month’s Recipe
Last month, we made pasta alla Norma. One of my missions in life is to win eggplant skeptics over to team eggplant, so I loved hearing how many converts came out of this challenge:
- From Emily: “My partner went from an eggplant hater to an eggplant lover after he tried this.”
- From Amberlie: “I had never had eggplant before, so it was a first for my husband and me. Delicious!”
- From Catz: “I love eggplant and made this for two non-eggplant lovers and we all agreed it was delicious!”
- From Alyssa: “This recipe changed my mind on eggplant! Roasted is the way to go!”
I also loved this variation idea from Phyllis: “Pasta alla Norma – Piccola! Baby eggplant, cherry tomatoes, and ditalini pasta make up a small bite version of this classic dish!” I love anything mini, so I’m going to have to try this.
Thanks to everyone who joined in and cooked along! Here are some of your photos:
And congrats to our winner, Barry:
