Hi Clay, I typically fill a 3-quart saucepan about two-thirds of the way full. One of the great things about cooking lentils is that the amount of water doesn’t have to be exact, similar to when you’re cooking pasta. I hope this is helpful.

I didn’t have parsley but I can eat lentils by the spoonful like this. And the flavor is mild enough to toss in a salad and it doesn’t overwhelm.

Hi Scott, the exact ratio doesn’t matter since you’ll drain the lentils after boiling. A medium saucepan of water should do it, I’d say 4-6 cups.
