My carnivore partner LOVED this; I baked some jackfruit and added it to the pot towards the end. No regrets apart from not tripling the recipe. Lovely stuff. Thank you!

I doubled everything in the recipe, including the black bean juice. A really delicious recipe. No strong taste of chili powder (I used store bought) and flavorful but not too spicy (I used 1/4t cayenne for my double batch). I'm guessing it will taste even better tomorrow. I love that it is filling but since there's not much fat, it isn't heavy. A keeper.

I would like to double the recipe so I used the tab to do that when going to print. With regard to the black bean liquid, do I NOT double the amount of liquid from the cans as well? The doubled amount says 4 cans of black beans, but it still says just 1 C of the liquid which is what the original recipe calls for. Thank you.

This is so good! Glad I tried it out. I was so in the mood for a thick, cozy chili and this really hits the spot for a filling vegan meal. I made cornbread with it and it's great with non dairy cheddar shreds as well as the cornbread. Thanks for creating this.

What is the serving size and how many "cups" does the recipe yield?

This veggie loaded chili is the perfect remedy for a cold day. A wonderful melding of flavors and the sherry vinegar is the perfect acid to give it that extra something special.

I was making chili for a crowd and doubled the recipe with the exception of the broth, using just 2 generous cups which was plenty of liquid. Blending some of the chili and adding it back to the pot helped thicken it up and provide the more traditional chili consistency, although I would still say this is on the more wet side.

As it was for more than my crew I omitted the cilantro adding it only as a garnish. Next time I make it I will add it per the recipe because it really does add to the flavor.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because if I had added all the broth I fear it would have been more like soup, even with the blending. It’s delicious and solidly 4.5 stars but not half stars, so 4 it is.
