About Jeanine
I’m the creator of Love & Lemons and author of three cookbooks: The Love & Lemons Cookbook, Love & Lemons Every Day, and Love & Lemons: Simple Feel Good Food (a New York Times bestseller!). My fourth book, Love & Lemons: Pop of Flavor will be released in October 2026.
Inspired by the fresh produce growing in and around Austin, Texas, I founded Love & Lemons in 2011 with the goal of sharing healthy, fun, and delicious recipes that celebrate seasonal ingredients and flavors.
The recipes on my website reflect how I like to cook and eat. I share easy dinners, soups, salads, and healthy breakfasts for every day as well as special occasion recipes like appetizers, holiday sides, and desserts. My recipes are accessible to cooks of all levels—I prioritize using simple techniques and whole foods ingredients to create delicious flavor.
Every recipe on Love & Lemons is developed and tested in my home kitchen. I make each one multiple times to make sure the flavors are balanced, the instructions are clear, and the results are reliable. When possible, I test substitutions and include helpful notes so you can feel confident making the recipe your own.
I also revisit recipes over time to keep them at their best. As we learn new techniques, discover better methods, or receive thoughtful reader feedback, I review and update recipes to improve clarity, consistency, and overall flavor. My goal is always to make sure the recipes on Love & Lemons work beautifully in your kitchen.

Fun Facts
- I love traveling with my son Ollie and husband Jack. Our favorite destinations are Paris and Northern Michigan! We have a cottage near Traverse City where we spend the summers.
- I have a shiba inu named Annie. She loves eating veggie scraps like kale stems!
- I love almost all food…but I’m not a fan of anything mushy. A plain banana or oatmeal is not for me!
