A farm tour

Spring has officially sprung… Jack and I spent last Sunday at Farmhouse Delivery’s East Austin Urban Farm Tour. It was fun to see the four farms where our weekly vegetables come from. It was even more fun to eat and drink our way through the event. Unfortunately we got no snaps of the food highlights because we didn’t have enough hands to balance plates, forks, whiskey drinks, and cameras.

But going along with the spring theme, here is a roundup of some yummy spring roll recipes from other lovely blogs…

Spring-y spring rolls with carrot ginger miso sauce from Happy Yolks

Soy-glazed roasted carrot spring rolls from Naturally Ella

Fresh tofu spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce (and pretty video!) from Elephantine

Vegetable spring rolls (with thai basil) from A Couple Cooks

Thanks for the link love! I have to say the tour sounds awesome (especially if there was enough food/drink that a camera could be juggled :)

  2. This looks like such a fun trip. Sometimes it’s best to put down the camera and just soak up the sights… especially when your hands are full of drinks and food!

I just discovered your blog via Pintrest. I love it! Yummy healthy food and you live in Austin, TX (as do I)! AND our husbands both work in the video game industry! Mine is a Lead Concept Artist.

Very weird, I too live in Chicagoland for almost 6yrs. Willowbrook, then West Dundee and then Hampshire before we moved to Austin 2yrs ago.
